Size Guide for Kaftans & Wedding Dresses

OUR KAFTANS
Our kaftans are chosen in two simple steps:
1. The length, based on your height: 1.55–1.65 m or 1.65–1.75 m.
2. The width, based on your usual size: XS/S (FR 36–38) or M/L (FR 40–42).
The fluid cut, shaped by the belt, flatters most silhouettes. Between two sizes, choose the larger one.

Our ready-to-wear follows standard French sizing, in two formats: XS-S and M-L. Find all international conversions below.

Why take your measurements?
At Selhyan, each dress is designed to perfectly fit your figure.
Whether you're ordering a custom creation or a piece from our collection, it's essential to provide us with accurate measurements to ensure a stylish and comfortable fit.
We recommend taking your measurements in your underwear or tight-fitting clothing, using a soft tape measure, and if possible with the help of another person. Take your measurements while standing, naturally, without arching your back or holding your breath.
REQUIRED MEASURES:
- Upper chest circumference
- Chest size
- Underbust circumference
- Distance between the nipples
- Waist size
- Hip size
- Hollow to floor length (from the hollow between the collarbones to the floor)
- Expected heel height
- Shoulder width (measured across the back)
- Shoulder to chest (front – from top of shoulder to tip of breast)
- Shoulder to waist (front – from top of shoulder to waist)
- Total height (head to toe)
If your dress has sleeves, please also add:
13. Bicep circumference
14. Wrist circumference
15. Armhole measurement
16. Arm length (from shoulder to wrist)
