Size Guide for Kaftans & Wedding Dresses

Kaftan & Wedding Dress Size Guide – Measurements, FR/EU Size Chart & Tips

In our workshop in Marrakech, every kaftan and wedding dress is handmade. For a perfect fit, it's essential to choose the right size and take your measurements correctly. This guide explains how to measure your bust, waist, and hips, as well as the lengths, and then how to read our FR/EU size chart.

How to Take Your Measurements for a Kaftan or Wedding Dress

Use a flexible measuring tape and take your measurements in front of a mirror, without pulling the tape too tight. Ideally, measure yourself while wearing the lingerie and shoes you plan to wear to the event.

1) Chest circumference

Measure the widest part of your chest, keeping the tape measure level.

2) Waist circumference

Measure the narrowest part of your waist, just above your belly button, without sucking in your stomach.

3) Hip circumference

Measure the widest part of your hips, including your buttocks, with the tape measure lying flat.

4) Total length

Measure from your shoulder to the floor while wearing the shoes you plan to wear on the big day.

5) Sleeve length

Measure from the shoulder to the wrist, with your arm slightly bent.

Custom-made: the perfect choice for a wedding or ceremony

For a wedding dress or a formal kaftan, we recommend custom tailoring to ensure:

  • A precise fit based on your measurements
  • Optimal comfort and a flattering silhouette
  • A one-of-a-kind piece that reflects your style

Practical Tips for Choosing the Right Size

  • Take your measurements while wearing lightweight clothing.
  • Stand up straight, in a natural way, without arching your back or sucking in your stomach.
  • If you're between sizes, choose the larger one (it's easier to adjust).
  • When choosing a long dress, always measure yourself while wearing the shoes you plan to wear with it.

  10. Shoulder to chest (front – from top of shoulder to tip of breast)
  11. Shoulder to waist (front – from top of shoulder to waist)
  12. Total height (head to toe)

If your dress has sleeves, please also add:
