A made-to-measure wedding dress is a unique piece, created for you alone, to your exact measurements and your wishes. Here's how bespoke creation works at SELHYAN, step by step.
1. The first appointment
It all starts with a conversation in our Parisian atelier: we talk about your wedding, the style that suits you (princess, mermaid, bohemian, minimalist), your figure and your inspirations. This is where your project takes shape.
2. Choosing fabrics and the sketch
Together we select the materials — lace, satin, silk, tulle — and the details (embroidery, sleeves, back, train). A first sketch turns your dress into an image before creation begins.
3. Fittings and adjustments
Several fittings refine the cut until the drape is perfect. Every detail is adjusted to your silhouette: this is the true value of made-to-measure, impossible to achieve with an off-the-rack dress.
4. Receiving your dress
Your finished dress is handed over, ready for the big day. We recommend starting the process several months before the wedding to work with peace of mind (ideally 3 to 6 months depending on complexity).

During an initial meeting—in a workshop, by phone, or via video call—we'll get to know you, understand your desires, your silhouette, your world, and your wedding plans. It's a time to listen and lay the foundations for your custom-made gown.
Step 2: Choice of materials
Quote proposal, fabrics, lace, finishes. Validation of the final model together.
Step 3: Fittings & Adjustments
For customers who can travel, a fitting is carried out in the store to perfectly adjust the dress to your body shape.
If you're remote, don't worry: you can send us your measurements using our detailed guide , and we'll provide personalized support throughout the process to ensure a perfect fit.
Step 4: Delivery or collection
The dress is delivered to your home or can be collected from the workshop, ready for the big day.
