Quel caftan choisir selon sa morphologie

How to Choose a Kaftan for Your Body Shape

The kaftan has one huge advantage: its flowing cut flatters every silhouette. But with a few adjustments — belt, neckline, fabric — you can enhance any body shape. Here's how to choose yours.

Pear shape (hips wider than shoulders)

Draw attention upward: choose a detailed neckline and embroidery on the bust and shoulders. A flowing kaftan that falls straight from the hips balances the silhouette.

Inverted triangle (shoulders wider than hips)

Balance by adding volume lower down: flowing fabrics, color gradients or details in the lower half. Avoid overly structured shoulders.

Hourglass (defined waist)

Highlight your waist with a belt (mdamma) or a belted takchita. This is the shape that benefits most from waist-defining cuts.

Rectangle (little waist definition)

Create the illusion of a waist with a thin belt placed at the right spot, or play on flowing fabrics for an elegant, elongated drape without cinching the waist.

Round shape (fullness at the center)

Favor flowing fabrics that glide over the silhouette, straight cuts, and vertical details (center slit, vertical sfifa) that lengthen. A V-neckline opens and slims.

The best move: try it on

Every body is unique and no rule is absolute. The best way to find your ideal cut is to try it on. In our boutique, we advise you according to your silhouette and the occasion.
