A Moroccan wedding unfolds across several ceremonies, and each calls for its own outfit. For the henna night, an embroidered kaftan in warm tones. For the engagement, a refined, luminous piece. For the big day, a two-piece bridal takchita — tahtia and dfina drawn together with a worked belt — the most ceremonial outfit in Moroccan tradition.

The takchita, the quintessential Moroccan wedding dress

Unlike the one-piece kaftan, the takchita layers an under-dress (tahtia) beneath an open over-robe (dfina), joined by an ornate belt. It is the traditional dress of the Moroccan bride, a symbol of prestige and refinement.

Noble fabrics & bridal embroidery

Lustrous silk, deep velvet, Calais lace, flowing muslin and beaded tulle: fabrics chosen for their structure and their glow under the lights of the celebration. Hand embroidery, pearls and rhinestones concentrate on the bodice and sleeves for a couture finish.

Hand-sewn sfifa braided trim, aâkad knotted buttons, passementerie and maâlem embroidery: our bridal kaftans carry the finishes of authentic Moroccan craftsmanship, handed down through our atelier in Morocco.
